Help with the development of a novel, “zero carbon” fertiliser for Protected Edibles

CHAP (Crop Health and Protection) and AgriEPI (two of the Agri-Tech Centres), alongside Debye Ltd, are currently working on an exciting project exploring a novel approach to allow growers to produce their own environmentally friendly ‘zero carbon’ liquid nitrogen fertiliser onsite, offering a novel solution to reaching net zero emissions.

They are conducting a survey to better understand nitrogen fertigation use within the UK Controlled Environment Horticulture sector and gather your thoughts on our on-site production concept. The survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete.

They would be grateful for as much grower input as possible to help better understand current use and challenges to optimise the concept.

If you are interested, please complete their survey by 12th March 2024 at the latest.

Answers will be anonymised, and key findings reported back to the sector, as part of the knowledge exchange element of the project.
