#BTW18 starting from Monday 21st May
The Tomato Growers’ Association was founded in 1997, and this year we are celebrating 21 years working together with all of our great British tomato growers and championing the amazing work that they do every day, of every year, to deliver great tasting British tomatoes to your plate.
To celebrate 21 years of the British Tomato Growers’ Association, British tomato events will begin on Monday 21st May. There will be plenty to talk about to mark the traditional start of the British tomato season including some fantastic new recipes, ideas for how to use tomatoes, tasting sessions and some fascinating insight into how our British tomato growers produce such amazing tasting tomatoes.
When it comes to tomatoes nobody does it better than British growers and remember don’t store your tomatoes in the fridge #fridgesdoflavoursnofavours
Did You Know?
British Tomato growers use an army of over 100 million beneficial predatory bugs to help balance glasshouse ecosystems where pests are controlled by predators and so are present at a level below those causing economic damage and thus reducing, to virtually zero, the need to use any pesticides which if they are will be primarily biological in origin.
