With British tomatoes, you are spoilt for choice. The British tomato season runs from March to October and there are many types to try, all easily available from your local store. Any of the tomato types can be sold while still on the vine. It is the green stem and leaves that give tomatoes their distinctive aroma, more than the fruits themselves. They really are worth those few extra pennies!
